Our Breeding Program

Our dogs and puppies are very loved and well cared for and we strive to provide the very best for them.  All puppies will be handled daily, ensuring that they have excellent temperaments and will adjust nicely with their new families.

All our breeding dogs are selectively chosen, with our goal being to breed the highest quality Australian Cattle Dogs we can, and to meet the Canadian Kennel Club breed standard.

The dogs in our breeding program have had health clearances done for hearing (BAER), hips and elbows (OFA certification), eyes (PRCD, rcd4 and PLL),  Cystinuria (ACD type), Degenerative Myelopathy, NCL5, NCL12. and Myotonia Congenita (ACD type).  We only breed dogs that will either produce clear or carriers of these abnormalities.  We will not knowingly breed any dogs that may produce the disease, and a carrier will not become an affected dog.

Puppies are ready to move into their new homes at 8-9 weeks old.  They will be vet checked, hearing tested (BAER),  have hind dewclaws removed, dewormed, microchipped and have had their first set of puppy vaccinations before being placed in their new homes. All of our ACDs have their tails, we do not dock tails. Puppies are sent home with a puppy pack which includes; medical record, feeding and vaccination schedule, puppy toys, leash, collar, food, and a blanket.

Each puppy will be registered with the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC), and a pedigree will be provided.  All puppies are sold on a Non-Breeding contract, filed with the CKC.  If a puppy is purchased for showing or breeding, this contract may be lifted at the owner's expense. We take our non-breeding contract very seriously.  We do not allow any dogs from our kennel to be cross bred with another breed. Our contract also outlines our specific health guarantee.

We match puppies to their new families at 7 weeks of age. We do not allow homes to choose their puppy. We match puppies and families based on puppies temperaments, temperament tests, and discussions with you regarding your household and lifestyle. The more information you provide us with, the better. We also offer lifetime breeder support and are always available to answer any questions and we encourage all prospective puppy owners to meet us and our dogs before getting a puppy.

Our puppy price is $2500 CDN.  Once the litter is born, a $500 non-refundable deposit will be required to hold a reservation for a puppy.  All fees need to be paid in full before puppies leave for their new homes.
